I come from one of the arid areas in Makueni district of Kenya.

Our main concern as a community is food security which is caused by lack of water. I read about you and thought you would be able to advice on the activities we could engage in for income generation or food seurity.

We are new sttlers in the land and so not much has been done.

I will appreciate your valuable advice.

My names are Victor Mulinge from Kangundo,Kenya,East Africa and currently doing greenhouse tomato venture as my secondary activity(famliy venture).
Let me first and foremost commend you for your job welldone on horticultural development as is evident from your website.
Am currently manning a 50 by 100 feet greenhouse with 1836 plants of tomatoes (AnnaF1)which was transplanted on 10th,August expected to be ready(First fruit) by 14th,Oct 2009.
Have watched your work on the web I was very amused by the way you are doing things, that is super.My requset to your esteemed organization is to find how you can help me and the community on how best to go in the greenhouse venture since ours is just a small project but trying to focus to the future to be like any other industry since the marketing arm is a challenge to many small scale farmers.Welldone.

I come from Kericho. I have been thinking of foraging into mushroom growing. I have poured through some papers on mushroom growing and they all say the same thing: expertise, spawn, huge initial investment. Now if someone can direct me on the first two … even the third … I would be very thankful. Or if anyone would like a partner to venture into the biz just write me.
